We work across the public and private sectors to develop the tourism industry in East Lothian and manage Visit East Lothian (VEL), the Destination Marketing and Management Organisation for the region. VEL promotes East Lothian as a visitor destination via Visit East Lothian, the consumer facing website, social media and marketing and PR initiatives. Tourism businesses receive a FREE listing on the site as well as access to a Members area.
We provide support or signpost to suitable sources of help or funding opportunities for individuals, groups or organisations for tourism events and initiatives that attract additional visitors to the county.
East Lothian Investments Ltd
We manage East Lothian Investments Ltd, a not-for-profit company, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, that provides interest free loans to East Lothian Businesses.
Offering favourable terms, the fund is open to businesses across all sectors and stages.
Scotland’s Food & Drink Country
East Lothian Food & Drink Ltd was established in 2016 as a Business Improvement District (BID), the first of its kind in Scotland.
With support from us, the Company delivers a range of projects and services that further the growth and sustainability of food and drink producing companies in East Lothian under the banner of Scotland’s Food & Drink County.
