AM Bid wins People Development honour at national awards ceremony

17th October 2019

Scotland’s leading proposal and tender specialist AM Bid are celebrating after winning a top accolade at the prestigious APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) UK Annual Awards.

The Edinburgh-based company was named as the winner of the People Development award in recognition of its ongoing commitment to personal development across the business and the enhancement of the capability of people involved in bids and proposals.

The award completed a memorable week for new Managing Director David Gray, appointed to the role a matter of days prior to the recent awards ceremony in London.

Speaking of his delight at this latest honour for the company, he said: “We are very proud to have been honoured by our professional peers in the bidding and proposal industry. The People Development Award formally recognises AM Bid’s approach to investing in our growing team.

“Our staff-count has doubled in size over the past two years and we make sure that our people are given every opportunity to develop both professionally and personally while working with us.

“I am convinced that this commitment to our people underpins the success and growth of our business.” APMP is the body that defines and supports best practice in the areas of bids, proposals and business development. Now in their 15th year, the APMP UK Awards celebrate and promote the finest achievements within the bid and proposal management profession.

AM Bid was founded in 2014 by Andrew Morrison, who recently handed over the Managing Director role to David Gray. The firm, chaired by Scottish rugby legend David Sole OBE, is Scotland’s largest bid and tender specialist, working in more than 20 sectors. It achieves win rates of over 80 per cent for its clients throughout the UK and Ireland and recently moved to new headquarters at the WeWork building on George Street, Edinburgh, as part of its continued expansion.
