Update on 2020 Midlothian & East Lothian Food and Drink Awards

WE ARE DELIGHTED THAT THE AWARDS CEREMONY PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 2020, WILL BE HOSTED ONLINE VIA ZOOM ON 26th NOVEMBER AT 9.30AM

The nominations are in and the finalists for the 2020 Midlothian & East Lothian Food & Drink Awards have been announced, with a total of 33 businesses have been shortlisted across 8 categories. 

Organised by The Mid and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce with headline sponsors East Lothian Food and Drink and Lemac, the prestigious awards ceremony will return for its 2nd year, recognising the very best in the regions’ growing food and drink sector.

Keith Barbour, The Chamber Chief Executive said, “What an exciting line up of finalists we have for 2020. I’m delighted to see some new names as well as those more familiar on the list this year. The competition gets stronger every year. Everyone that has been shortlisted in the awards must be congratulated for their commitment to high standards.”

East Lothian and Midlothian are blessed with a wealth of amazing food and drink producers. All 8 categories had a very high level of entrants and presented the judges with a particularly difficult challenge to select the shortlist of finalists. 

Keith continued, “This is real testimony to the hospitality sector in the region, and to producers who ensure high quality local produce is available to our cafés, tearooms and restaurants.”
