Joint Members Gathering

You are invited to join us for a joint gathering with Chamber members as well as members of CEED (Centre for Education, Engineering & Development) and Bright Green Business Network. Members’ Gathering is one of our popular events where you will visit a local business site, find out more about what they do and at the same, have the opportunity to network with potential contacts over light refreshments. 

On 28th June we will visit the office of NSD International. Formerly known in the UK as The Simpson Label Company, NSD International has been a leading company in the field of self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging innovation since 1858. From Dalkeith in Scotland, they serve a variety of market sectors throughout the United Kingdom. Design and production are carried out both in-house and with an external repro partner, York Reprographic. 

The focus of this FREE event is Sustainability in your business. We will be joined by 2 speakers: Aiden Tracey from Home Energy Scotland will present how Home Energy Scotland employee engagement programmes can help you to get buy in from your employees to support your environmental goals, bolster your business’ Environmental Management Systems and Corporate Social Responsibility whilst helping your employees to save money and energy at home. 

Elaine Brown from Bright Green Business will talk about their Environmental Placement Programme (EPP) which aims to help host businesses throughout Scotland increase their environmental awareness, change their behaviour and improve their environmental sustainability.  

The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with Elaine and Aiden and we shall close this event with a tour around NSD International site where you will have the opportunity to view the wide variety of labels that they manufacture for a wide variety of uses.
