Going for Growth - Group Mentoring Session

Who understands all the issues of growing a business? Someone who has done it themselves - a Business Mentor. Midlothian& East Lothian Chamber is running a series of monthly Business Mentoring sessions – Going for Growth on 5^th of October (already took place), 9^th of November and 7^th of December 2016 at the Midlothian Innovation Centre.  

Our Going for Growth group session is part of our Business Mentoring Programme. The groups consist of like-minded people running enterprises. They share experiences, ideas and useful contacts as well as discussing how to grow successful organisations.

On the 9th of November session, we will discuss ways to grow sales for your business. Sales and Marketing go hand-in-hand. Review how your marketing activities are performing against the targeted sales return. Gaining new customers is as important as retaining existing ones. Marketing is no longer simply about marketing brochures, a website and a sales call.  

Format

All participants will introduce themselves and describe the activities of their businesses. Each session will have a special guest who will outline the issues they have had to confront and explain how they overcame various real problems. Participants will then be free to ask questions, make suggestions and to raise points of interest. The sessions will begin and end punctually so that benefits of the time commitment are maximised.

Who should attend?

Anyone involved in running a business who would like to survive the current recession and grow the business in the future. Refreshments will be provided. As always, there will be plenty of opportunity to network. All sessions are free of charge and participants will be asked to register for the Business Mentoring programme.
